Press Release: RedMane Technology Wins Contract To Support Virginia Child Welfare Initiative
CHICAGO, IL – RedMane Technology, a Chicago-based software solutions and systems integration services company, was awarded a contract to provide and implement its mCase platform for the Virginia Department of Social Services’ (VDSS) Comprehensive Permanency Assessment and Safety System (COMPASS) program.
RedMane’s work is in support of the Commonwealth’s Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Enterprise Mobile Software Solution project. That project is the first component in the COMPASS program and follows Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s executive order directing the use of cloud technologies in the Commonwealth’s information technology services.
The company won this contract by offering a modern CCWIS mobile solution and the deep expertise necessary to successfully implement it throughout Virginia.
RedMane’s highly flexible, powerful, and mobile cloud-based platform will enable child welfare caseworkers to access data when they need it – whether they are in the office or the field. With mCase, caseworkers can put more focus on the needs and positive outcomes of their clients.
Caseworkers will be able to meet with a family, assess the situation utilizing existing assessment tools, develop an appropriate plan, and have it agreed upon, printed, and signed in a single visit.
“Virginia is committed to improving the lives of the families and children we serve through our child welfare programs,” said Carl E. Ayers, Director of the Division of Family Services at VDSS. “Equipping our workforce with industry leading tools is a major step in fulfilling that mission. Through our partnership with RedMane, the Commonwealth will take advantage of technological improvements that ensure staff have the needed information at their fingertips when working with those in need.”
Ayers added, “Virginia’s innovative partnership with RedMane will get the Commonwealth closer to accomplishing our mission of helping children and families triumph over poverty, abuse and neglect.”
“RedMane will use its mCase software platform as the foundation of the solution,” said Tony Lakier, the company’s president. “We will be responsible for all the systems integration and implementation services associated with this critical project. Our professional services staff will work closely with VDSS to integrate the solution into Virginia’s environment and roll it out throughout the Commonwealth.”
Lakier added that the company’s mCase platform will help Virginia protect and serve its children and families.
“Assisting organizations with problem-solving and helping people as a result is what RedMane is all about,” he said. “In fact, other jurisdictions such as Milwaukee County, Wisconsin; the province of Alberta, Canada and the U.S. Virgin Islands are using our mCase platform in aiding and assisting their residents for everything from eligibility and benefits processing to child welfare and ongoing case management.”
