Inspiring Lives and Giving Back to the Community Through Technology
RedMane’s Zeke Torres was the guest speaker at i.c. stars, a technology-based workforce development and leadership training program for low-income adults.
The Chicago non-profit provides its interns with employment opportunities and helps train them for community advocacy. Interns are required to apply and be accepted into the two-year program.
At RedMane, Zeke Torres helps client organizations use data and analytics to improve outcomes, reduce costs, and drive new revenue. Zeke also leads the Chicago, Schaumberg, and Northern Illinois SAS Users Groups, as well as the Milwaukee R Users Group.
During i.c. stars’ February 15th event, Torres shared his journey to success, impressing upon the program’s young adult interns the importance of perseverance and setting short- and long-term goals. Officials at i.c. stars say having Chicagoland technology professionals speak to the students is a key part of the program.
Influencing Lives and Making a Difference
The i.c. stars organization strives to develop Chicagoland’s most promising information technology talent and connect them with career opportunities through its social enterprise and partner organizations. Being able to make a difference in the community is also important to RedMane.
